STEAM IC is proud to announce our first smaller-scale event, the Life Sciences Summer Event! It is scheduled for August 31st from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at 8 Queen Street East, Brampton, Ontario (sponsored by Algoma University!). During the event, participants will be able to partake in a case study and debate, learn basic first-aid, network with industry professionals, learn about different careers in life sciences, connect and work with like-minded peers, and learn the importance of design in the medical field. Throughout the day, there will also be multiple opportunities to enter a laptop giveaway! And at the end of the event, the winner will be announced.

Participants will start off the day by partaking in first aid training. They will learn the basics of reductions and dislocations. Please note the demonstrations are not done by professionals and thus, you will not be given certification.
